Early childhood group music program, Mini Musicians, is designed specifically for children ages 3-5 years old. Little children will explore the joy of music through singing, moving, interactive games and improvising. The program incorporates percussion instruments and body movements.
Not every week is the same in the classes of Mini Musicians. Each week there will be a learning objective (e.g. I can count the beat). I will introduce a new component and revise what was taught in previous weeks. This prepares them for great success in their chosen instruments in the future.
This is a no stress and no practice music program. You do not need a piano at home to join this program.

We explore music through singing fun songs, moving with the beats, dancing, learning solfa hand signs and percussion instruments, listening and moving with classical music

One on One Lessons
Students spend time with me for the entire lesson. Preschool piano program takes young children (ages 3-5) on a magical journey where they acquire the piano skills, keyboard awareness, and rhythmic understanding needed for a successful future at the piano. The lessons are filled with joy and fun as we get up and move around, clap, sing and play percussion instruments while we explore the piano.
All lessons are geared toward having young children understand everything they will need to know before learning to read notated music.

Stage 1: The program will start with children learning symbol-to-sound recognition, practice finger independence and coordination, improve aural awareness, play long sounds and short sounds on black keys, play high sounds and low sounds on black keys, play sounds moving higher and lower.

Stage 2: Children will improve finger independence and coordination, play simple, pattern-based melodies on black keys, read preliminary notation, explore simple rhythmic patterns, listen for musical patterns.

Stage 3: Children will play simple, pattern-based piano pieces on black keys, read off-staff rhythmic notation (quaver, minim and semibreves), recognise directional movement in note reading, explore note stems pointing up and note stems pointing down, listen for quaver, minim and semibreves.

Buddy Lessons
Bring your child's bestie to the preschool piano lessons and double the fun!

Students spend half of the lesson time with me and another half with their buddy. The time with their buddy allows students to learn and explore piano through fun theory games, creative activities and duet playing with another student.
